The Department of Applied Economics originated from the Department of Finance, founded in 1995, and the Department ofInternational Economics and Trade, established in 1996. Currently, there are atotal of 21 full-time teachers, consisting of 3 professors, 1 full-timeprofessor from overseas, 2 participants in the Shanghai Important TalentsProgram, 10 associate professors, 3 supervisors for doctorate students, and 9supervisors for master's students. The majority of these teachers hold doctoraldegrees and have experience studying and exchanging abroad. Currently, thereare two individuals participating in the Shanghai Important Talent Program andtwo talented individuals from Shanghai Pujiang Talent Program. It buildsmaster's programs and applied economics programs and sets the professional goalof integrating into the mainstream economy and highlighting thecharacteristics of marine and fishery. The undergraduate program offerstwo majors: Finance and International Economics and Trade.
